Salvador Dalí is the most iconic figure of Surrealism. He painted “The Swallow’s Tail” at the age of 79. Despite its obscurity, the painting retains the surrealist traits of being out of the ordinary. This design uses the gradient of the silver-coated fabric as the canvas and creates dimension with the 3D pleats on the skirt by drawing inspiration for the lines from the painting. By splicing, arranging, and attaching the fabric together, the bodice creates interlocking designs with cut-out lines. The opening of the neckline is a swallow's tail showing upwards, creating an infinitely imaginative space.
